I thought i would give you another bit of info to entice you some more

Often called the "Garden of France". the Loire Valley is an enchanted land of vineyards, flowers and rolling green hills dotted with more than a thousand chateaux. It is perhaps the charm of its gentle pace life that has, for centuries, made it a sought-after location for poets and writers. It is a step back through the history of some of France's finest works of art.

Our favorite furry friend Guirgie has rightly pointed out that the 24th is actually a Saturday and not actually the day of our wedding, I guess this is quite typical that we dont even know the date ourselves!! Sooooooooooo the correct dates are as follows
21st - 24th July and our wedding is on Friday 23rd July

So sorry if this has caused any trouble, but if it has please tell us because i guess that means you have booked your ticket which is so exciting!!!! I am also kinda glad as Katy Perry made it to our blog in some way. xx

So we have just booked! Merci beaucoup maman et papa! xxxxxx

Here are a few facts about where we are staying

The first document concerning the castle dates from 1090. During the middle ages, it was one of the main fortresses in the region then known as the Bas-Poitou. The main tower (keep) was built in the thirteenth century, then enlarged in the fifteenth century, giving the structure its near present-day appearance.

Until the sixteenth century, the lords of La Flocellière belonged to the powerful Surgères family. The wife of René de Surgères, the last of the line, was a poetess who wrote in the style of Ronsard. During the Wars of Religion, the castle was the scene of several battles between Protestant and Catholic forces.

We will tell you more about accomodation soon.

and cows because they are the best, and these cows come up and talk to you when you call out to them. This is a picture of them running over. Robin was a cow whisperer, he called out and they ran and then he said stop they stopped and when he said 'now relax' they started eating. Good cows.
